A unique frame for an amazing photo..."Shabby meets rustic"

A few weeks back I did a giveaway with Kim from Semi Sweet Studios. She is an artist and photogher featuring photos and paintings of the most gorgeous things.

Anyway, I was so excited when she told me she was going to send me one of the photos. It came yesterday and I was blown away! I have never seen a picture look so real. I felt like I could have touched and smelled it. Trust me when I say this photo I took does not even begin to do it justice...

I told Kim I was going to get a frame for it and share it on my blog next week. But.....I couldn't wait until then, but I also didn't have a frame. My impatience was getting the best of me, so I decided to make a display for it with what I had laying around the house. I grabbed some worn pallet wood I had.

I decided I was going to hang it in one of the bathrooms. Here is what I came up with...Shabby meets rustic....

Be sure to go over to Kim's SHOP and find a photo or piece of art for your own home. There is nothing better than something so unique for your decor. Her prices are great too....

In addition, Kim has just started a new BLOG. Be sure to stop by and say hi to her!

  3. Truly inspired. Lisa. Frames are always an issue for me. I have lots of cool prints, but frames are so expensive, or the wrong size or they need glass ...But your concept, basically pinning it on a piece of wood can be used in a lot of ways and I'm going to steal, I mean borrow, it. Thank you!

  7. That's amazing that you felt like you could actually smell and touch it. It's amazing what artists can do and Kim is no doubt a very talented artist.
